Cyndi Lauper Heads to Mardi Gras

Image details: Gay Games VII served by picapp.com
Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is famous for delivering some of the most fabulous entertainment in Australia, and next year’s festivities will be no exception. 80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper will headline the 30th anniversary celebrations.
I’m really excited about this one. After all, with hits like “Girls Just Want to have Fun,” “True Colours,” “Time After Time,” what’s not to love? Now I just have to convince my husband to embrace his inner diva and come with me.
No official dates are available just yet, but expect Miss Lauper to grace our shores in February. This of course gives me plenty of time to twist my husband’s arm.

She’s so fly. I’m sorry but you cannot be a girl who lived in the 80s and not adore her. Plus; you’re married! Did I miss that somewhere. You seem so young (yes I guess at and categorize people’s ages by how they blog — it’s not pretty).
Now I can’t remember if I know how old you are or not? I’m gonna go read your bio — it better be good ;)

It was good but no age therefore in blog years I put you at 21 or so. In real years I’ll guess 25 - 26. Also, are you wearing pink scrubs in that picture?

*lol* My husband just hasn’t come up before. I’m 27, not exactly young but probably on the youngish side for married folks. We’ve been married for about a year and a half now. And in that photo I’m wearing my pink Happy Bunny hoodie. It’s not exactly fashionable, but it’s oh so comfy and my cat loves sitting inside the hood :-)
Hubby insists he’ll go see Cyndi with me “if no one else will.” It’s a shame you’re not around to go with me!
