Damien Leith Covers Classics
It’s been a long wait for Damien Leith fans, but our favourite Irish-born crooner is almost ready to unleash his new album.
Catch the Wind: Songs of a Generation features covers of some of Damien’s favourite songs from the 60s and 70s. I can’t wait to hear what Damien’s done with songs like Cat Steven’s “Father and Son,” “Everybody’s Talking” by Harry Nilsson, and “Longer” by Dan Fogelberg.
“The great songwriters of the 60s and 70s have always been a major influence on my own original material,” Damien explained in a press statement. “In many ways the songs of that generation are as relevant today as they were back then. I’ve chosen songs that either mean a great deal to me on a personal level or those that I’d just love people to hear.”
Catch the Wind: Songs of a Generation hits stores on April 26, but you don’t have to wait that long if you pre-order through Damien’s website.

Hey, thank you so much for the lovely write up on Damien he is a superb artist no matter whether he sings his own compositions or anyone else’s songs.
I have heard bits of all of them and a beautiful choice they are for his voice.

I have pre ordered this album and it arrived today. It is amazing. Damien has such a great voice. I know just about all of these songs and I love the way he has put his own magic into them.
This is definitely a 5 star album.
Well done Damien.

I completely agree Damien is a fantastic talent. I guess a covers album is great for exposure, but I’d love to hear more of his originals.
Just throwing that out there, but I’ll no doubt pick up a copy anyway.

I’ve been playing Catch the Wind on repeat virtually every day since I got it. But I still love listening to Where We Land, Damien’s originals plus The Winner’s Journey cd. Damien really has an astute sense to what works with his voice and he has such a wide range that his choices blow me away each time. But, you’re right Dave, I’m also hanging out for his next originals album… not till next year unfortunately.
