Is Lenka The Next Big Thing?

You might remember Lenka from her work with Aussie electronic outfit Decoder Ring. But these days the Aussie songbird is striking out on her own.

She’s currently living in Los Angeles, where she recently signed a copublishing with Sony/ATV and a record deal looks like it’s just around the corner. The major label became interested in Lenka after her song “Follow” was featured in Courtney Cox’s new series Dirt.

Well, judging by the US response from the brief play of her song “We will not grow old” on the ABC comedy drama series, “Big Shots”, I would say emphatically YES.

I have to agree. Everyone went CRAZY for this song that saw Big Shots. It got less than 30 seconds of air play and WOWED everyone. All we need now is to know where we can get this single or album of Lenka’s music. She has an amazing voice. I also heard Skipalong from Lenka’s myspace. Also a great song. Lenka is definitely and artist that should be on the rise.

Hi Monique - Lenka still hasn’t released any of her solo stuff, but you may like to check out her earlier work with Decoder Ring. If you’re interested in buying any I know Chaos.com ships internationally - they have a bunch of Decoder Ring albums. :-)
