The Living End Jet Off for Worldwide Tour
April 1, 2009 by lkatulka

The Living End are Europe bound to promote the continent’s release of White Noise.
Chris Cheney, Scott Owen, and Andy Strachan will kick off their European tour in Belgium on April 18. They’ll then move on to Manchester and London, before heading across to Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, and Berlin. The lads haven’t toured Europe since 2005, so the fans are bound to be out in force.
After that The Living End will pop back home for a quick tour with Gyroscope in May. But they’re not sticking around for long. In June it’s off to Japan, before heading back to Europe for 17 more dates.
I’m exhausted just writing about it! Click below for all the dates!

Angus and Julia Stone’s amazing debut album A Book Like This has just gone platinum in Australia! Far from an

Angus and Julia Stone Tour the World
July 2, 2008 by lkatulka

The coolest brother and sister duo around, Angus and Julia Stone, have just wrapped up their sold out Australian tour, but don’t expect them to sit idly for too long. After a short break, the Sydney siblings are heading overseas to join the European summer festival circuit.
The Stones will kick off their European jaunt with an appearance at Ledbury’s Big Chill Festival on August 1. From there they’ll play festivals in Scotland, Holland, and Germany, and a very special gig at The Roundhouse in London.
Angus and Julia Stone have earned rave reviews in Europe for their album A Book Like This, so this tour should be huge for them. UNCUT described it as “A triumph of intimacy,” while MOJO said “The virtue’s in the detail.”
After The Stones conquer Europe they’ll head to the USA for their first ever shows in support of their American album release. Then it’s back to Europe for a full tour, because they head back here in December!
If you can’t wait quite that long for your Angus and Julia Stone fix, make sure you catch their recent performance at The Basement. It’ll screen on ABC 1 on Thursday July 31 at 11 pm.

Kylie Admits US Failure, Focuses on European Tour
May 4, 2008 by lkatulka
Kylie Minogue might be massive in Australia and Europe, but American audiences haven’t warmed to our pop princess.
Her newie X topped the Aussie, Greek, and Taiwanese charts, and cracked the top ten in the UK, and Switzerland. But in the United States the record sold a measly 6000 copies, and limped into the Billboard charts at number 139. With appearances on The Today Show, Dancing with the Stars, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and The Late Late Show to support it, X simply should have done better.
Kylie knows when to quit, and she’s ruled out further efforts in the American market.
“I gave it my best shot. I won’t try again,” she told Britain’s Daily Mail.
And seriously, why would she? She’s got a European tour to think about. Fans there have spent more than half a million dollars on tickets.
Kylie’s first tour since her breast cancer diagnosis will kick off in Paris on Tuesday, before taking in Greece, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Luxembourg, Russia, Latvia, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
All those enthusiastic European fans should make her American flop a little easier to swallow. If you want to be amongst them, click below to see when Kylie’s visiting you.

Kylie Announces European Tour

It’s not quite the world tour that was rumoured a few months ago, but Kylie Minogue is hitting the road again. Our own pop diva will tour throughout Europe in 2008.
Kylie’s renowned for her spectacular stage shows, and her new concerts promoting her tenth album X promise to be no different.
“I am putting together a show that is going to be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself,” Kylie said in a press release.
“The eclectic mix of sounds on X is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative. After two celebratory tours, X will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new. I can’t wait to share it with you next year!”
It’s just a rumour at this point, but a gap in the touring schedule has left fans wondering whether Kylie will headline next year’s Glastonbury festival. She’ll play Belfast on June 27, but doesn’t have another show until her Glasgow gig on July 5. The Glastonbury festival is slated for the weekend of June 27-29.
