Evermore Back with New “Underground” Single
January 29, 2010 by lkatulka
Evermore are back with a brand new single, “Underground,” which picks up right where the lads’ last album, Truth of the World left off. It seems they’ve left their early whiny songs behind and replaced them with a healthy dose of edge. I for one am happy to see how these New Zealand born lads have manned up!
Evermore Score Pink European Support Slot
Evermore clearly impressed Pink during her recent Australian tour. The American popstar loved their support slot so much, she’s invited the lads to tour with her around Europe.
The New Zealand expats will head to Dublin on October 12 to start the tour, which will take in several European locations over 11 weeks.
“After a leisurely stroll around beautiful Australia, meeting 10,000 friendly locals every night on the Funhouse tour, P!nk has made us an offer we couldn’t refuse to join her on tour all across UK and Europe,” said Peter Hume. “We could not have had this chance without such …read more

Evermore will entertain Sydney commuters tomorrow morning with a free mini-concert!
Riding high on the success of their latest album, Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show, the trio will perform at Wynyard Park from 8 am.
They are set to play three songs, including their latest single “Hey Boys and Girls.”
And it will all wrap up early enough for everyone to get to work on time!
Q & A with Peter Hume of Evermore
March 18, 2009 by lkatulka
You’ve got to admire Evermore’s Peter Hume. He was up late entertaining crowds at the launch of the band’s new album Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show, yet the next morning at 9 am he was calling me for a chat. He might have been little sleepy, but he was happy to talk about his ambitious new recording.
You had your album launch in Sydney last night. How did that go?
Really well, really well. It was the first time we’ve had basically the whole thing together, the whole show, all our screens and all new songs, it was cool. …read more
Evermore Reveals the “Truth of the World”
Adopted Aussies Evermore wowed me with their new single Between the Lines, and it looks like there’s more where that came from. They’ll unleash their third album Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show on March 21.
We can expect much more than a mish-mash of radio-friendly songs here, as lead singer Jon Hume explains.
“I heard someone say that albums were dead … and everyone just wants three minute songs these days. That’s exactly what we are trying to fight with this record,” he said in a statement.
“We hit reset on what this band was about, threw everything out and …read more
New Song Obsession: “Between the Lines” by Evermore
January 23, 2009 by lkatulka
A few months ago I mentioned Evermore was offering free downloads of their new single “Between the Lines.” Now the song’s been released officially, and we can see the film clip. It’s a new darker direction for the lads, and I’m not just talking about the CSI-style lighting in the music video! But a change is as good as a holiday, and their risk taking has really paid dividends here. I love it!
Download Free Evermore Single
November 11, 2008 by lkatulka
We all love something for nothing, especially when it’s from one of the hottest bands in the country. So it’s pretty exciting to hear that Evermore are offering their fans a free download of their new single “Between the Lines.”
Lead singer Jon Hume said the song was inspired by the different media coverage he saw looking at Thai and Sydney newspapers on a stopover in Thailand.
“They were both touting stories of the APEC and the G8 summit, but displaying almost everyone in a very different shade of colour. Policies, quotes, promises were different. It was charming editorialism at it’s best. …read more
Jet Headline Gold Coast New Year’s Show
September 9, 2008 by lkatulka
Jet will headline the massive Aussie line-up at Odyssey NYE ‘09 on the Gold Coast.
Considering their recent pairing with Iggy Pop, it seems the rock outfit’s self imposed exile is well and truly over.
Jet will share the bill with local legends Eskimo Joe, Evermore, The Butterfly Effect, and Operator Please. More acts will be announced closer to the date, so expect it to be massive.
The organisers anticipate big crowds so they’re moving Odyssey from its Dreamworld home to Carrara Sports Complex.
Sounds like a fun way to ring in the New Year. If you want to go, grab your tickets …read more
Aussie Number Ones Honoured
March 7, 2008 by lkatulka
The elite of the Australian music industry gathered in Sydney last night for the ARIA Number One Chart Awards. The ceremony recognised the achievements of Aussie chart toppers.
Twelve local artists were honoured for their number one albums and singles. Delta Goodrem was lauded as the first Aussie to earn 12 number ones when she claimed two gongs for the single “In This Life” and album Delta.
Delta told The Daily Telegraph that while she will spend a lot of time there this year, she won’t relocate to the United States.
“I intend to spend a lot of time there but Australia is …read more
